Welcome to our Halloween Wedding Event. We’re getting married October 29th, in Parrish, FL. This site provides information to our guests about us, our wedding party, where to stay in the area, what to expect at the wedding, who our vendors are, and a way to respond to their invites.

Christine Clack

Christine is a typical introvert — loves books, documentaries, gardening, thunderstorms, coffee, tea, and one-on-one time with friends and family — but she also loves big dogs, horror movies, skydiving, campfires, sarcastic people, carbohydrates, laughing, religions, Halloween, and most of all, of course, spending time with Chris!

Chris Arella

Chris tends to be diametric, finding rejuvenation doing things on different ends of the spectrum. While he can be found in crowds, rock concerts, shooting guns, lifting weights, & fun-seeking; he also likes his down-time, reading, working in the garage, watching movies, & creating. Chris adores Christine! She enhances and balances his life. He often joke about their relationship roles: he’s Creative, she’s Operations.

Kelly Clack

Kelly (“Belle” to Christine) is Christine’s little sister.  She has always had a touch of wanderlust and so has traveled extensively and stayed in San Diego, Key West, Austin, Colorado, Ashville and for now, lives in Birmingham Alabama.  She’s a graceful, charismatic, soul whose presence commands attention.  She’s an artist, massage therapist, dog trainer, concert junkie and an all-around free spirit. Kelly is often referred to as the heart of the family as she insists on hugs and “I love you’s” and family time.

Madison Arella

Madi is Chris’s amazing 15 year-old daughter, with her huge heart and gentle old-soul. A dancer, actress, author, artist, and animal-lover — she’s a damn good cook and a wonderful big sister. With her love of art and anime, you’re sure to find Madi either binge-watching Netflix, going to Comicon, drawing characters, and writing her own stories.

Nancy Adkins

Nancy and Christine have been friends since, well, since before they had Facebook accounts (probably a good thing.) Christine has always looked up to Nancy for her sharp wit, confidence, lightning fast comebacks, and refusal to give a crap what anyone thinks of her.  Nancy grew up in Jamaica, and is a heavy metal person (I think they’re called head-bangers?), a preacher’s daughter, a mom, a vocal advocate for child-abuse awareness, a Nana, a wise mentor, a dog-magnet, and an all-around badass.  And all the brothers and sisters said “Amen”!

Sophia Sustaita

Sophia and Christine have known each other for twelve years.  Sophia is originally from Texas, but has lived here in Florida for several decades.  She has a background in Anthropology from UF, works all week as an advocate for death-row inmates, and still finds time to occasionally peddle goods at the renaissance festival (and she looks damn hot in those peasant blouses!)  She’s a traveler (several continents!) a blogger, a jokester (watch out on April Fool’s Day) and a volunteer, regularly helping the homeless. She can juggle fifteen events (picnics, sports events, dinner with friends, concerts etc.) in one day and then wake up and do it again the next day. When you see Sophia, congratulate her and Peter on their own engagement!

Jim Degen

Originally hailing from Algona, Iowa, Jim is a fun-loving carefree guy who tries to see the best in everything & everyone. He is a devoted and loving husband to Sandy & great friend to all. He tries to enjoy life filled with gratitude and love, giving freely of himself often, with a big heart and unique brand of humor. Contrary to popular belief, he actually doesn’t eat that much bacon or watch Chuck Norris movies.

Jake Arella

Jake is Chris’s son and brother to Madi. Although he tends to be shy around new people, once he warms up you’ll soon find out what an awesome guy he is. Venturesome and humorous, he’s the joker of our family who loves all forms of entertainment always bringing his witty sense of humor and infectious laugh wherever he goes.

Jake Ross

Always on the go, Jake is one of those guys who jumps right in with both feet and takes on life’s challenges with great fervor and earnestness. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, he’s only been in the Saint Pete area a few years, and in that time has developed vast friends and deep relationships — a testament to his open heart and enthusiastic nature. Jake’s passionate about politics, economics, and changing the wrongs he sees in the world.

Eric Clack

Eric, Christine’s kid brother, lives in St Pete with his rescue Pug-mix, Ollie and his Boston Terrier, Baxter. He is father to a magnificent daughter, Katie who inherited his smarts, his love of animals and his beautiful blonde locks. He helped Jim (Christine’s father) build the beautiful cemetery gate you’ll see at the ceremony. Eric is one of those magnetic people who draws everyone in, makes them laugh, makes them feel included and turns them into lifelong friends. Even people who have met him only once, feel a strong connection and fondness for him. His animated story telling, his larger than life personality and his inherent ability to entertain will make him the life of the party on the night of the wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the Most Common Questions About Our Halloween Wedding

Dress Attire

What do I wear to a Halloween Wedding?

We’ve suggested our guests wear black attire. Most people own something nice in black so it keeps it simple. Our wedding is semi-formal so nothing trashy. Not sure what that means? Dress like you’re going to a funeral, but plan to party! We also invite guests to wear masks and make-up of their choosing if you want to have some fun with dressing up.

Can I wear a costume to your wedding?

While we initially loved the idea of allowing our guests to wear costumes, this is a family-oriented event with friends and coworkers alike, so we made the call to keep the dress code a little more sophisticated. Black attire is encouraged. That doesn’t mean you can’t wear a mask, have some fun with make-up, or color your hair.

Can I bring a costume prop?

Sure, as long as it isn’t anything that can physically hurt someone or scar a child’s delicate psyche (intentionally or unintentionally) then go for it. If you aren’t sure what that means, then call us.

Food & Drink

I have food restrictions. Will there be food for me at your wedding?

Absolutely. I’m sure you’ll find plenty to eat so feel free to check out our menu ahead of time. If you don’t see something that works, I was told by our caterer they’re willing to make special dishes for those with food restrictions such as Vegans, Lactose-Free, Gluten-Free, Kosher, etc. These are the best and most professional caterers so you need not worry.

Will you be serving alcohol?

While alcohol is a norm at most weddings, we have decided not to serve drinks to our guest.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Due to insurance reasons we cannot allow anyone to bring any food or drink of any kind to the wedding. This exclusion also means no alcohol and especially no drugs. Thanks.

We're thinking about staying overnight in the area; where should we stay?

We’re working with 4 hotels in the area and have room blocks under Clack-Arella Wedding. Two of the hotels listed above have online booking links that are associated with the blocks. The other two you’d need to call. We’ve provided details and links to their websites above.

Can I bring my dog?

If it is a registered service dog, then yes.

I'm a responsible gun owner. Is it okay if I bring a firearm for self-defense to this event?

No. Per our vendor contract and our insurance policy, we cannot allow a loaded weapon on the property during the event.
